petrichor of pachamama
Tillandsia tehuacana
Tillandsia tehuacana is great for those who forget to water! This plant is native to the arid valleys the Tehuacán Valley, in the Mexican state of Puebla. This environment is covered by shrubby, sparse vegetation and T. tehuacana are often found growing on top of columnar cacti!
The dusty green leaves slightly recurve and white stripes follow the length of the leaf, giving this plant a textured feeling. It would be great to elevate a space that feels sterile (Perhaps your office desk?) Oh, and I almost forgot the best part of this plant…it readily offsets! That right you will be rewarded with many many pups!
Fertilizing is not necessary; however, it encourages faster growth, off-setting, blushing, and blooming! To fertilize, we recommend misting your specimen with a foliar fertilizer such as our Foliar Feed at least once a month.
Your specimen will be about 9-12 inches in height and width
