Tillandsia vicentina
Tillandsia vicentina. WOW! I’m obsessed with this plant. These are hard to come by and I only have ONE for now and it is a behemoth. T. vicentina is native to Central America, In fact it is named after the San Vicente volcano in El Salvador. T. vicentina features lush green foliage that fans out nicely from the center. At maturity this plant will grow a salmon-colored flower stalk from which purple tubular flowers will arise.
T. vicentina is one of the Tillandsia species that does well in lower light conditions, however, they thrive best in bright indirect light. This plant is prone to rot so I recommend only misting this plant 3-4 times a times a week or more often if the air in your home is very dry.
Fertilizing is not necessary; however, it encourages faster growth, off-setting, blushing, and blooming! To fertilize, we recommend misting your specimen with a foliar fertilizer such as our Foliar Feed at least once a month.
Your specimen will be 12-14+ inches in height.
