Tillandsia neglecta
Tillandsia neglecta is a teeny-tiny plant that rapidly forms clumps. This tiny plant exhibits dark green succulent leaves and light pink bloom spikes decorated with purple flowers. Native to the rocky outcrops of the dry forests of Brazil, T. neglecta can survive on quite a bit of neglect! The succulent leaves of this plant make it drought resistant, so it’s perfect for someone who forgets to water their plants from time to time.
T. neglecta does well in bright indirect light. We recommend that this species be watered weekly by soaking it in bowl of purified water for about 5 minutes. After the bath, place upside down on a paper towel to dry before placing back on display. Misting is not necessary for this species but a misting once a week would not hurt!
Fertilizing is not necessary; however, it encourages faster growth, off-setting, blushing, and blooming! To fertilize, we recommend misting your specimen with a foliar fertilizer such as our Foliar Feed at least once a month.
Your specimen will be less than 1 inch tall.
This tiny powerhouse is already growing and spreading its leaves.
These lil guys are awesome and vibrant no matter what! They're super resilient! Not to mention they're going to make awesome clumps after they pup!
